To be with Paula is to immerse yourself into a layered, liquid history, where a complex past is transformed into a luminous, textured present.

Paula Cecchi is a respected figure in the Argentine art scene and a growing presence internationally. Her work has been showcased at Art Dubai, Pinta Miami, and the Embassy of Argentina in Washington, D.C. Her work is significant enough to be included in the National Academy of Fine Arts’ History of General Art in Argentina (Vol. XIII), which catalogs the most important artistic developments in the country between 2000 and 2020.

But Paula’s story doesn't begin with a brush; it begins at the foot of her grandmother’s sewing table. There, she absorbed the energy of the needle—the inherited strength of the women in her family who knew how to mend, create, and endure. This alchemy extends into the political heart of Argentina. When Paula paints the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, she renders their iconic white kerchiefs in an ethereal style, revealing women who carry the weight of time and loss with a resilience that is both delicate and indestructible.

Yet it is in El Pez Dorado where, for me, Paula’s mastery of light and water truly transcends life as we see it. The colors dive into the undercurrents of the ocean blue to transform the woman and sea life into a spiritual experience.

My words cannot do justice to the immense beauty of El Pez Dorado. This painting, the first and only time I was moved to buy art, inspires me every morning. The lady of light rises and blends with the ocean facing my window into yet another ocean. All the layers of the soul, of time and space, blend into a beautiful harmony that whispers to me that everything is possible.
